Why hello! Happy February!

:3 not much to say aside from ... hi! i'm working away at that book illustration project and learning a lot. soon i will be more active here and have stuff to show!

oh man. :3

things have been super busy for me. i am currently in the middle of a project which is coming along nicely! :D I'm so excited.

D: i just hope i can produce work ABOVE par. ((not on or sub man i'm a perfectionist)) but i am really working my butt off for this. and i want that to pay off. a little selfish i know but this work is not only portfolio work YAY! but also really exercising my art muscle, which is great!

i'm working on toning myself to be a well oiled art machine. its really exciting to see how much i improved when i went into art school (( a terrifying decision)) and now to see how much MORE i have grown after. i hope to continue that trend!

:D i will try to post a little more often and let life devour my soul a little less ^^;;

:D i got a Nintendo DS (technically 2 ds... dses?) for christmas.

I also have been infatuated with brain age. i am slowly getting better, but i keep doing this thing where i get REALLY good then slip a bit then improve a lot more then slip then improve. its like 1 huge leap forward 3 steps back. but i am already launching rockets into space with my amazing skillz! HOHOHO

Which beings me to an interesting discovery.

Nintendo, you are geniuses. ((i know many of you have known this for a while)) but i never payed attention to the DS games (aside form when Lunar on the DS came out, but i hear it is horrid at least compared to the other 2 games) but now that i have one, OH BOY! what to get!

i can learn language, get smarter, learn to cook, read books or play pokemonz. i have never seen a gaming device be so multipurpose. going on a trip and wanna read the classics? there is a DS 'game' which is just 100 classics. WOW. you can work on learning other languages. i have seen a Japanese and French program.... it just boggles my mind. they have a 'game' that teaches you how to cook and will read off a recipe to you. and it will repeat steps as often as needed. and finally the one thing that boggles me. there is a workout program. Nintendo DS personal trainer! it apparently tracks your progress and automatically tracks it.

and there are a whole slew of other products from training for SAT'S to crosswords etc. IT BOGGLES MY MIND. it really excites me what we HAVE but it makes me wonder, what CAN we have i knew Nintendo isn't pushing the buck to hard with the DS. i have a feeling its successor will be like a laptop/pda/cellphone device. you wont be able to function unless you have it.

also multilayer mode is really fun. >_< and now i am lost in the oblivion of the DS.

but i take a cold comfort knowing I'm probably one of the 5 people excited to the Nintendo DS e-books. XD I'm SUCH a geek.

it was -7 degrees today when i drove into work. needless to say that is COLD. i have NEVER been as grateful for my boots and wool socks my parents got for me than i have been this morning.

it was so cold my car had trouble kicking over, its the first time in the cold its done that... i will get this looked into.

i am planning on making some grilled cheese and soup tonight. YUM! i also tried a french dip sandwich recipe last night. it was DELICIOUS! i also found a hot cocoa mix recipe which i plan to mix up here in the near future. it seems pretty simple though so i wanna try a sampling of it see if it is something id be willing to perpetually mix up, or make in a big batch.

HAHAHAH oh man.

Gearing up for the New Year, because come on, what a better time to make life altering changes than with the ‘new start’.

I will not have any real ‘new years resolutions’ I don’t think, it will probably something like “complete half of my 101 list” or some such. Art job is DEFIANTLY on there, so lets see. ((Getting art job is not on 101 lit but sending out portfolios IS.))

I have also decided to do 31 pictures in 31 days in January. I will use the prompt of “fairy tales” so I’m doing research because I want to do different tales for each image :D I ideally want to find tales not normally told in America. ((ie: Alice in wonderland, Rapunzel, etc. but I will probably end up doing a few classics cause common they are classic.))

What about you guys? You going to do anything this year for a new years resolution?

Hello one and all!

This post will be about finance. OH YAY! I love money. I love spending money. But I also need to SAVE money so I can pay off collage loans, and have an emergency fund and you know, stuff.

I have been looking for ways to cut back, aside from a few needed purchases, I am pretty frugal, but at times I get a little willie nilly with spending. This last run to the grocery store illuminated an area I now need to work on.

So here’s hoping. Over the next few weeks I plan on refining my list of every day needs, and emptying my fridge of the “non essentials” to FORCE compliance. HOHO!

There is apparently a propane leak in the shop, which is attached to the office XD OH MONDAY I LOVE YOU!

I may get to go home early which sucks, but hopefully if it does happen i can do art. ART! ((throttles self))

ps I turned off my heater now I'm cold ;_;

Oh man, what can i say? I've been working on some personal stuff, which is good. trying to get myself setup for an arting extravaganza! as well as some comicing, (seraphic in particular)

i really need to go to the eye doctor, that or learn how bats see so i can scream at everything. XD SONAR PING FTW!

I've had an on off headache for 3 days now ...

So for those who DON'T know/haven't realized. i totally won NaNo. i have been spending the last few days catching up with what i need to do because NaNo made me slack off. Tonight i need to work on getting presents packaged and ready to be mailed and finish up the last ones that need to be assembled.

OH MAN. tomorrow i have a TGIO party at Elephant bar (yum!) and Jacob will come with me, to which then we will pop over the mall to donate toys for the Toys for Tots thing, and then i hope to get some holiday pictures taken of him and i to send out to family and freinds.

on top of that ART! i have my thank you for the hits piece all drawn up i just need to get it ready! I'm less than 200 page views away! >_< AND i have a piece in my head that i cant wait to draw up.

NaNo was amazing. i think making the 50,000 goal was what i needed to do because now I'm super motivated to complete everything else.

for now I'm outie! i gotta finish my to do lists! (yes that pluralization was no mistake!)

And what Jolly Holiday would be complete with out disgruntled reigncats?

Where here we shall go on an adventure pertaining to health of all kinds as well as some aspects of my personal life!

 

I have a general idea of what I would like this to become however I think it will always be changing and growing.

 

This will be the main interface for my health rants, my 101-list and other points of life. I hope to do a monthly wrap up each month as well as a ‘What I’m looking forward to doing/goals to complete next month’

 

I hope to tie this to my DA accounts and really have this be the general interface for all things non-art related but with art updates, while all art will go to my DA page.
